This is Claire Marie Miller's primary certification course in pregnancy massage, labor massage and support, postpartum massage and newborn/infant massage. Most workshop sites will have a pregnant volunteer to enhance your learning. In this course, you will learn:
- Anatomy and physiology for pregnancy and birth
- Pregnancy massage demonstration and practice
- Cautions and contraindications for pregnancy massage
- Guidelines for pregnancy massage for each trimester
- Massage for high risk pregnancies
- Massage for labor and newborn/infant massage
- Postpartum massage using the principles of mother roasting, a practice of keeping the new mother warm to encourage recovery
- Awareness of the birth journey through videos
- How to teach a Nurturing the Pregnant Couple class including Prenatal Yoga for Couples
- A simple Shiatsu session that you teach the pregnant mom to give her partner
- Rituals as a tool for empowerment for the mom and family, including the Blessingway Birth Ceremony, Birth Beads, and Lotus birth.
- How to market your skills, along with access for “ready to use” brochures and a listing on Claire Marie Miler Seminars
- Resources for you and your clients surrounding pregnancy, birth and family, including books, websites and informational groups
In-class Certification Requirements:
- A practical assessment is given when you massage a pregnant volunteer or student during the workshop
- Written assessment completed at the end of the course
- 24 CE hours and Nurturing the Mother Pregnancy Massage Certification given at completion of the course

Now a stand alone on site certification training, this course is an extension of the fertility massage protocol taught within the primary Nurturing the Mother® massage training. Following years of demonstration models who conceived shortly after receiving a fertility massage during the workshop, this course expanded into a multi-faceted approach to a very emotional and personal journey. This course provides training in all aspects of the conception process, including how massage can enhance the success rates of pregnancy. You will learn to assist the client in reclaiming her reproductive body and her sacred sexuality on the journey to motherhood.

Enhance your reflexology sessions with heated basalt rocks and aromatherapy! Take your reflexology sessions to the next level. It is helpful to have had prior experience with reflexology but not necessary. You will learn:
- Safe and effective use of heated basalt rocks and aromatherapy during a reflexology session
- Techniques to use the rocks both in the affected area and as a wrap or pack on the feet
- Therapeutic aromatherapy with eight essential oils targeting common discomforts
- Students will learn how to combine the oils and then add to a carrier foot balm for the reflexology session

Learn a skill that will provide your clients with powerful detoxification! This protocol combines a basic lymphatic massage with skin brushing, castor oil packs on both the abdomen and the feet and includes detoxifying foot reflexology for a potent cleanse to the body. In this course you will learn:

Amy Pierce, LMBT and Coach for Baby’s First Massage® announces training for anyone interested in becoming certified as a Newborn Baby Massage Instructor.
This special half day Certification Session combines the ease of Home Study with the confidence building experience of hands on learning with an experienced trainer. Pre Registration is required!
This Certification includes a home study kit plus this review class focused on learning to teach newborn massage to new families. We will provide hands on experience, answer questions, demonstrate proper technique, and provide additional pertinent information and support.
