Amy Petersen

Amy Petersen is an RCB nationally certified Integrative Reflexology™ Practitioner and Instructor, with over 600 hours of training. Certified in Integrative, Zone (Ingham), and Meridian Reflexology, she has been a practitioner in Eastern Iowa for nine years. The focus of her practice is compassionate care Integrative Reflexology™ and therapeutic Integrative Reflexology™. She has trained hospice RN’s and CNA’s in life transition palliative reflexology care. She also teaches care techniques for family caregivers. Her special interest is palliative reflexology for people challenged by chronic or terminal health complications such as ALS, RA, Parkinson’s, or cancer.

She instructs the first day techniques class, for the 30 CE homestudy certification class. This is for people interested in becoming certified in Integrative Reflexology as a practice, or as a complimentary therapy in their profession. She also offers non-CE 10 hour introductory classes for people who are interested in understanding how CAM therapies can be blended with traditional medicine for a whole health approach..

Amy has Professional Certification for both the Iowa Reflexology Association and the Reflexology Association of America. She has taught CE classes at the Genesis Healthcare/VNA Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, and the Trinity Hospitals Enrichment Center. She also maintains a private practice in Davenport, IA. Amy’s interest in and use of complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) has been incorporated into her personal healthcare for over 40 years.
