Labor massage and labor support techniques
Newborn and infant massage demonstration
Postpartum massage, with the principle of "mother roasting" - the application of heat, along with specific bodywork techniques for the recovery and realignment of the mother.

Claire Marie Miller
Claire founded Nurturing the Mother® and Integrative Reflexology® almost 30 years ago. Her passion for the creative process of life, birth and healing fuel all that she does and fill the classroom when she teaches. Claire’s style of teaching is inspiring and wholesome. She brings both well-tested techniques and passionate experience to her classes. Her students often comment on her ability to transfer knowledge to others and that her classes are a whole-hearted experience, offering more than simply learning techniques, they invite each student to get in touch with their own growth and healing process.
Claire has trained thousands of students, including more than 10 instructors who teach in over 20 states throughout the country. She was inducted into the Massage Hall of Fame in 2010, recognized for her leadership in the massage therapy industry. She has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1979 (NC LMBT #580) and nationally certified since 1994. She is Board Certified with NCBTMB and maintains her private practice at her home in Chapel Hill, NC.
