Integrative Reflexology®

Integrative Reflexology® is more than a technique, it is an experience!

The Book, Classes and Home Study Courses

Reflexology is as old as walking barefoot—our bare feet pumiced by rocks, roots and leaves, stimulated by the texture of the Earth, and serving as a connection between our nervous system and the magnetic energy flowing through the Earth. Stimulating the feet for healing purposes is known to have been part of the ancient health care modalities used by our ancestors all over the world. Many ancient cultures directly connected the health of the body to the health of the feet.

Integrative Reflexology® is a four-theory approach to reflexology. Structural Alignment Theory, Zone Theory, Meridian Theory and Psychoneuroimmunology Theory each serve as a different lens for understanding how reflexology works and how we can view the body in a holistic way, honoring its complexity. This approach creates space for the body’s innate wisdom to provide the healing offered through an Integrative Reflexology® session. The Integrative Reflexology® method was developed by Claire Marie Miller specifically for massage therapists and has evolved to be a modality that is accessible to everyone.

The Book!

Integrative Reflexology®: Theory and Practice offers an innovative and in-depth program for integrating foot and hand reflexology into massage and bodywork. Readers gain the skill set necessary to perform a safe and therapeutic Integrative Reflexology® session. Claire’s approach is accessible and easy to perform for anyone with an interest in bringing the body, mind and spirit into a balanced state of well-being. This book benefits everyone, from massage therapists to parents, caregivers to medical and holistic practitioners.

NOTE: In the state of North Carolina reflexology was moved from an exempted modality to a modality requiring a massage and bodywork license. In years past when trafficking wasn’t an issue impacting public trust in our legitimate profession the exemption was appropriate but since this terminology has been exploited by bad actors and they are actually operating body massage business using unlicensed persons but using reflexology as a title, the exemption was removed.
